Im pretty sure its the first time i actually heard somethin from MIKE-DASH-E. I was kinda like wtf when he made DJ Amen’s Bay Area Top 10 Freshmen list since i had never heard of him before but now i get it. This dude got lyrics, flow, emotion and everything else you might look for in a rapper. Some might say he doesnt have the NorCal sound but i think he does very much and i like it. Dope track and a nice lil street video shit by Gino Rocks of Prime Zero.
As soon as i saw this track i HAD to check it out….. why?? THE JACKA has got to be my favorite ARTIST and this track features one of my all-time favorite producers….. BIG HOLLIS. Imagine a Jacka & Hollis collabo albuM….. that shit would be krazy!! I think Jacka & SKEE 64 (R.I.P.) could have done some amazing work together as well. Peep the track featuring BALANCE!

The Richmond California native NIO THA GIFT gotta be one of the most lyrical artists not only out the Bay Area of California but the whole West Coast. His sound is definitely not specific to a region. I had the pleasure to setup an interview between Nio Tha Gift and K103’s Don Smooth a few months back….. he is a real smart young man that spoke very wisely about himself, his career and life in general. That same wisdom comes off in his music. Definitely should check it out if you like quality music with live instruments and meaningful/conscious lyrics.

For about a week now i had been noticing NETTA BRIELLE tweeting that they’re playing GLAMOROUS LIFESTYLE REMIX on KMEL. The first thing that came to mind was “how come i haven’t heard that yet???!!” but i didn’t get a chance to ask. Finally i got the track in my inbox from GOLDEN MEAN MANAGEMENT. Perfect timing!! it was about the exact same time the original from THE JACKA dropped last year…. that was the fuckin anthem last summer. Netta did an amazing job on the track and honestly i don’t think there is ANY female artist that could have done a better job…. she knows the track, she knows its vibe and she rocked it.
