When GSlaps first started pushing this record from R.O.D. he was still a local Bay Area R&B artist trying to make it. Now R.O.D. is signed to E1, released the video for “Can’t Stand You” featuring Freeway and had it to debut on BET’s 106 & Park as “New Joint of the Day”. This all happened within a few months! Great things to come for this young artist and GSlaps is proud to be part of the movement. P.S.: Shouts to Eddie Lewis and Don Smooth for the radio and club spins here in Montreal Canada.

I can dig this…. It’s called “Ear Buds” from Y.t Flin$tone and is produced by P-Lo. Cool concept, i know i can definitely relate to it. It’s basically bout these chicks always having they headphones on and making it real hard for us dudes to just even holla. That shit happened to me more than once fasho! Real smooth beat, laid-back and don’t sound like 2010 shit which is a +. Check it out and download it for FREE if ya like it.

I’ve been a fan of Mistah Fab since I first heard him, and that was a bit before he put out his critically acclaimed album “Son of A Pimp”. Just to tell you that i have been following his music from almost the beginning and am very familiar with his content. Throughout the years he has put out a lot of “conscious”/deep music through his albums (including Da Baydestrian), compilations, mixtapes and features. Being one that has followed all of it i can confidently say that this is his best work to date. For years rap music has been lacking this kind of content. Yes, there are the Mos Def’s and the Talib Kweli’s but somehow I feel like the people, or more importantly the youth will have an easier time relating to Mistah fab and will demonstrate more of a willingness to accept his message.
